Praecise Digital Identity Standard
An open standard for decentralised identities for humans and machines — with cross-chain support currently spanning 5 chains. Read the specifications that define how identity, delegation, payments, and intelligence work across the ecosystem.
PDIS Overview
The complete architecture for the Praecise Digital Identity Standard — an open standard for decentralised identities for humans and machines with cross-chain support currently spanning 5 chains.
What is PDIS?
The Praecise Digital Identity Standard (PDIS) is an open standard for unified, privacy-preserving, multi-chain identity systems for humans and autonomous agents. It introduces a hierarchical identity model where every autonomous agent provably chains back to a KYC-verified human guardian — without revealing personal information.
Identity Types
PDIS defines two identity types: PDIS-1 (Guardian) for KYC-verified human identities, and PDIS-2 (Agent) for autonomous systems. Each agent links to its human guardian via an on-chain guardian_did attribute, enabling privacy-preserving credential inheritance.
Multi-Chain Architecture
Identities operate across five blockchain layers. Tenzro provides always-on identity and verification. Tempo provides always-on payments with sub-cent micropayments. Canton provides private, legally-enforceable settlement. EVM (7 chains) and Solana provide public interoperability.
Credential Inheritance
The key innovation — agents inherit their guardian's KYC tier via on-chain linkage. Verifiers can confirm an agent is operated by a Tier 2 KYC-verified human without accessing any personal data. Only cryptographic attestations are published on-chain.
